Eyo Offiong Eyo

Managing Director

Mr. Eyo Offiong Eyo is the Managing Director of Enrich Microfinance Bank Limited (a member of Halo Financial Services Limited); a bank with focus on providing personal finance through communities.

He is an accomplished Banker and Financial Services Manager of over 24 years, a published author, seasoned Toastmaster, serial Entrepreneur, Marriage Counsellor, and a subject matter expert in Microfinance having founded and managed various Cooperative Societies, a Microfinance Bank and other Microfinance Institutions.

He worked for multinationals like Shell Petroleum Development Company (SPDC), First Bank of Nigeria Limited, Lagos & Niger Shipping Agencies Limited, and indigenous companies like Creditude Global Services, J. Hoffman & Associates, Axel Engineering Limited, just to mention a few.

Since joining Halo Financial Services Limited, the parent company of Enrich Microfinance Bank Limited, Eyo has had an exciting career working with great people and communities, and is particularly thrilled about Halo's vision; the focus on personal finance through communities, meeting the financial aspirations of Africans, and improving their financial wellbeing is one of the very few things that gets him up in the morning.

Eyo brings to bear his extensive experience in engineering, commercial banking, community engagement and community financing through the three (3) Cooperative Societies, Religious Groups and Social Enterprises that he has been Involved in managing and providing advisory over the last two and a half decades.

It is his personal ambition to pursue the Halo dream of improving personal finance through communities across all spheres of our engagements as a key strategy while leveraging technology to better serve our people.

When he is not thinking "Finance", he is creatively spearheading new initiatives, many of which he pioneered, just to mention a few:

  • Established the first Esports Academy in Nigeria and also a member of the Esports Community in Nigeria.
  • Introduced the concept, "Socialize for Equity" at a poster presentation at the first ever Project Management Conference in Africa tagged PMI Africa 2015 Conference in Johannesburg, South Africa, and have since published articles and a book on “Socialize for Equity” including eBooks with the same title on Amazon, iBook and, Barnes and Noble.
  • Conducting ongoing research on using technology-based solutions for Dealing with Old Age Poverty".

Eyo started his higher education by obtaining an Ordinary National Diploma (OND) from The Polytechnic, Calabar in Mechanical Engineering Technology (1992) before proceeding to Yaba College of Technology for his Higher National Diploma (HND) in Mechanical Engineering Technology (1997), then a Postgraduate Diploma in Management from the University of Calabar (2000) and eventually an MBA in Banking & Finance from Enugu State University of Science and Technology (2004). Eyo has acquired many professional certifications and licenses from Nigeria and overseas – UK, US and Canada.

Eyo is a Fellow of the Nigerian Leadership Initiative; a Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute, UK; a Fellow of Institute of Management Consultants, Nigeria; a member of Project Management Institute, USA; a Chartered Management Practitioner (CMP) of the Nigerian Institute of Management and a Microfinance Certified Member (MCIB), among other professional bodies.
